Ahead of international women’s day I pitched an animation concept to the editorial team at Freeda. My idea came from a conversation that I had with someone that questioned why we would need international women’s day, when the world is already so progressive. I wrote the script which explores the inequalities that women still face and I illustrated and animated the visuals, producing about 80 assets in total. I worked with journalist Jasmine Walter who did the voice-over for the animation. My main goal was to create a piece of content that arms young people with information on what we could be doing better, the video is just under a minute and packs in a lot of data but still feels digestible, its a piece of work that I still feel very proud of.
